On Sunday the 31st riders from the surrounding came and rode on the route for free on Sunday 31st in a 'Ride Before You Buy' day.
The three and a half mile route links to bridleways from Colston Bassett and Kinoulton and consists of grassy tracks, enabling riders to get away from traffic on the main roads. There is even a hard standing for those who come from further afield to park their horse boxes.
The toll route was set up by Ride Welland - an equine initiative run by the Country Land and Business Association (CLA).
The CLA's Sylvia Hull said: "Alongside the Toll Rides Off-Road Trust, we wanted to promote tourism in the East Midlands and provide safer off road riding for horse riders. I'm really pleased with the number of people who came to show their support and there has been a lot of interest since".
The cost of riding on the route will be £65 for the year for Kinoulton-only members, or you can come for the day for £5. More details can be found at the TROT website or contact the local agent Catherine Ellis via email
